JESSIE L.  Is from Las Vegas, NV. She fell in love with Ann Arbor at a young age when she attended University of Michigan's Debate Camp. Jessie is an E-RYT 200, is certified in Aerial Yoga & Thai Massage, and is currently in pursuit of her Massage Therapy, Personal Training, and Nutrition Consulting Certification at the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy. Jessie also specializes in Geriatric Yoga and teaches in an assortment of assisted living facilities and adult day care centers in the Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, and Dexter Area(s).  She is focused on creating and fostering a welcoming & loving community! A country girl at heart, LISA HAMLYN FIELD lives, works, and dreams on a ranch in Hunt, Texas with her husband, five kids, 10 chickens, and two dogs.  She is a landscape designer, organic gardener, event planner, and mama by day and with the help of a late afternoon soy latte, she cooks up her creative business magic by night.

Raised in the mesquite country of South Texas, her fondest childhood memories are of swimming in the muddy water of the Nueces river, picking vegetables in her Nana’s garden, making wild mustang grape jelly with her mom, working cattle with her dad and uncles, running her horse wide open across the freshly plowed fields of her family’s farm, and coming in from playing with her brother and cousins to the smell of fried venison and the sound of her daddy’s mandolin picking out a bluegrass tune.  She spent many summer days lying in the cool grass gazing at the clouds with a head full of dreams.

After leaving the University of Texas in Austin , Lisa returned home and started a landscaping business that set her on a path that led to where she is today.  She met the man of her dreams who happened to already have three kids, and then they added two more to make quite a sweet gang.  Now her days are full to the brim with work and family, but the chance encounter with a dreamy YouTube video got her thinking about an event that would change her life forever. Lisa decided that to try and to fail was a much better choice than living with not trying at all, so Lucky Star was born.

It was born out of a desire to bring to the South the goodness of what she experienced at art camp in the Northeast.  To gather women of all ages to share their ideas, creativity, and spirit so that each day of the year not spent at camp, those women know they have the support of the many kindred sisters they met on hallowed ground.  A little something special to keep in the back pocket of their souls to help get them through thick and thin and forever keep that spark lit.
